Jumping into tenure with students
I thought there wasn't anything about sex left to shock me, but this confession really takes the biscuit!
Unless it's a joke I understand that some young, male lecturers in the US feel that they have to sleep with students in order to get into the quadro (tenure)!
Now that's a cultural oddity, if I ever did see one.

It happens to be my first visit to your blog. I jumped from a very well known site to you called SHiFT, which I was invited to visit by a teacher. I'm a student at the same school where you teach.
And believe me, coincidences exist.
Obviously, I'd prefer to express myself in portuguese, given the name of your site I believe I could, nevertheless, I just want to say that beeing one of the most popular internet subjects of all times, it doesn't surprise me at all. It's in humans nature. There's nothing wrong with sex. But, as there are so many interesting and open discussions on the table, I will keep thinking about something else.
