Being over-the-top

I'm closing down the hatches to focus on finishing chapter one of five chapter of my dissertation. No emails, no skype, no IMs, no online discussions, no feeds (maybe) and no blogging and no going to work. It's taken me almost a week of preparation to get three days of interrupted life for writing, if I'm lucky.

Most of the time I wish I wasn't so pig-headed, stubborn and generally OTT (Over The Top). But other times, like now and when I'm doing BTT (cross-country cycling) in the Arrábida - uphill, alone, and totally happy - it helps.
